Broaden Students’ International Horizon

The Progress in Emergency and Critical Illness and Burns Treatment Training Course, part of the 5th Zhejiang University International Workshop for Postgraduates, was successfully held online at SAHZU on October 10th and 11th, 2020.

More than 30 full-time doctoral and master students from the Department of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Burns attended this educational event. The most recent research results and trends in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trauma treatment, burn treatment, severe new coronary pneumonia and ARDS treatment, ECMO application, and residency training were shared by lecturers from home and abroad, including the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Virginia State Federal University, State University of New York, French Sorbonne University, as well as Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Jiangnan University Hospital etc.

The goal of the workshop is to promote practical cooperation with world-class universities and scientific research institutions by encouraging graduate students to participate in international academic exchanges. The workshop also made attempts to explore new mode of international cooperation and exchange in the time of a global pandemic by holding the workshop online.

The Progress in Emergency and Critical Illness and Burns Treatment Training Course was hosted by Prof. Zhang Mao, Chair of Emergency Medicine at SAHZU, and funded by Zhejiang University.
