RECRUITMENT OF NURSING TALENTS: Explore Nursing Career Opportunities with SAHZU

The Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SAHZU) was founded in 1869 by the British Church Missionary Society, and was the cradle of western medicine in Zhejiang province. It was recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Health as one of the first tertiary hospitals in China. SAHZU ranked the 1st in Zhejiang Province and 9th in China in the 2018 National Public Hospital Performance Evaluation by the National Health Commission. The hospital is among World's top 100 hospitals in the Nature Index, being the only one in Zhejiang Province. It has the most NSFC-funded scientific research projects in the province for 10 consecutive years, and homes the National Regional Center of Excellence of cardiovascular diseases, trauma, orthopedics, and neuroscience. Because of its outstanding clinical performance, SAHZU was the healthcare service provider for G20 Hangzhou Summit. It also attracts many overseas nurses and doctors for training sessions.

Influenced by SAHZU’s century-old culture of spreading benevolence and saving people, the nursing team of SAZHU always adheres to the hospital’s core value: the needs of patients and customers come first. The mission of SAHZU nursing team is to improve nursing leadership and management, provide human-centered care, carry out evidence-based nursing, and enhance cooperation with international colleges and universities. The specialized nursing of SAHZU, recognized as one of the first National Key Clinical Specialties and the only one in Zhejiang Province, received 8 million (≈1.2 million US dollars) government funds. Furthermore, the chair of emergency medicine committee of Chinese Nursing Association and the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Emergency and Critical Care are affiliated with SAHZU.
