Ms. Jingfen Jin Spoke at Azusa Pacific University

The 14th Research Symposium—Bridging Transitions of Care was held on March 22 in Azusa Pacific University at Los Angeles. The theme of the symposium this year was Bridging Transitions of Care through Research and Evidenced-based Practice.


The Director of SAHZU Nursing Department, Mrs. Jingfen Jin, was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the symposium. In her speech the Situation and Practice of Evidence-based Nursing in Mainland China, Mrs. Jin talked about 2 evidence based translational nursing programs that SAHZU has been carrying out now, Effect Evaluation of Rewarming Interventions in Adult Hypothermia Trauma Patients – a Network Meta-analysis and Best Practice Implementation Of Shor-Term Indwelling Urinary Catheter And Removal Early In Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery. About 1000 audience listened to her speech. Ideas and experience were fully exchanged and shared on the symposium.


Since 2010, SAHZU and Azusa Pacific University have been collaborating in a number of programs, among which the nursing talents cultivation is a huge success. So far, SAHZU has organized elective courses for 8 groups of APU nursing students and sent about 20 nurses to have advanced training at APU. Mrs. Jin’s visit to APU not only consolidated SAHZU-APU relationship also expanded SAHZU Nursing’s communication with international nursing professionals.
