Prof. WANG Jian'an and his team, performed a live broadcast of a complex transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) on Feb 4.,  during the fourth JIM GISE conference in Rome, Italy, utilizing a domestically developed device.

The procedure was conducted on a 71-year-old patient with severe mitral regurgitation. The case was considered high-risk due to the patient's low BMI (17.5 kg/m²) and comorbidities including hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and renal insufficiency, with an STS score of 6.4%.

Using the domestically developed Dragonfly™ transcatheter mitral valve repair system and guided by 3D imaging, the team successfully performed the repair. The procedure was transmitted live from Hangzhou to the conference venue in Rome.
