A Thank-You Letter from US President Barack Obama

A few days ago, SAHZU got a Thank-you Letter from White House signed by US President Barack Obama. He expressed his appreciation on the gift that SAHZU sent in return right after the G20 Hangzhou Summit. This gift is a classical photograph which was taken in the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine located in Hangzhou, China in early 20th century. The scene captures Dr. David Duncan Main, a British physician and the first Hospital president, greeted a pediatric patient with reciprocal humility and respect. It symbolizes the hospital’s core value today:”The Needs of the Patients and Customers Come First.”

In the letter, President Obama also mentioned the importance of connection among different traditions and communities. He said:” By connecting across borders and cultures and holding firm to the ideals that unite us, we can move toward a future of greater peace and prosperity for all.”

Recalling the roles that SAHZU was playing during the G20 Hangzhou Summit, SAHZU has been fulfilled its mission to serve the community, not only the local community, but also the international community. SAHZU will continue to together with international counterparts to make better health for the world.
