Prof. YAN Sheng, a HPB surgeon and the executive vice chair of SAHZU HPB Surgery, led his team in successfully performing a Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantation (TP-IAT）for Ms. ZHU, who was suffering from late-stage pancreatic cancer. This procedure also set a new global record as the oldest patient to ever undergo such a surgery.
