SAHZU is a teaching hospital of Zhejiang University and has abundant experience in teaching and training students, residents as well as fellows. In addition to accepting Chinese medical students and trainees, SAHZU holds international medical programs tailor-made for foreign health workers interested in a different medical experience and the chance to sharpen their medical skills. From July 6 to 17, 2026, the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SAHZU) hosted 29 international students from 12 countries for a two‑week intensive program on TCM and Western Medicine Integration and public health practice. The module was part of the 2026 Zhejiang University SDG Global Summer School.

SAHZU has officially installed Zhejiang's first 2‑meter long‑axis PET/CT system at its Pan‑Vascular and Metabolic Center (Bo'ao campus). This next‑generation molecular imaging device offers a single‑bed field of view that covers the entire body of most patients, enabling "one‑scan, whole‑body" imaging.
