COVID-19 Testing

Please note that SAHZU doesn't offer COVID-19 nucleic acid test or antibody test to the public anymore. If you have fever or other covid symptoms, please visit the Fever Clinic or Respiratory Clinic.

COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test: The test analyzes one's upper respiratory specimen, looking for signs of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. It is the gold standard test for diagnosing COVID-19. SAHZU uses throat swab to take the upper respiratory specimen.

COVID-19 IgG+IgM Antibody Test: COVID-19 antibody testing is a blood test that's done to find out if the patient has had a recent or past infection with SARS-CoV-2. IgM and IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 are generally detectable in blood several days after initial infection, although the duration of time antibodies are present post-infection is not well characterized. Individuals may have detectable virus present for several weeks following seroconversion.
