Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, it is recommended that all patients make appointments before coming to International Medicine Department by calling 0571-89713988. A personal health guide will be provided to help you go through the whole medical process. One-stop check-up service and quick accesses to CT, MRI are available too.


What documents shall I bring when I come to see the doctors?

Patients should bring his/her passport and medical insurance card when coming to see doctors. If you have commercial medical insurance, you may have to consult the insurance company to see if there is anything else you should bring along to the hospital.


If I don’t speak Chinese, can I come to see doctors?

You don’t need to worry about language barriers, as our doctors and nurses are all fluent in English. Other language service can be provided per your request ahead of time.


What specialties and services are recommended?

Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Burn, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy, ENT are highly recommended. If you have no idea which department you should go to, please consult our general practitioner by calling 0571-89713988. Also, the Joint Academic Center for Diagnosis established by SAHZU and UCLA will provide you with opportunities of international tele-pathology, tele-radiology and pediatric neurology tele-consultation with internationally renowned experts.


Can I have health check-up here?

Is commercial medical insurance available here?

SAHZU have already signed agreement with Cigna &CMB, Ping an, International SOS, Med-link, MSH China, Bupa,Cseth Health Care, Generali China, ICBC-AXA and Emergency Assistance Japan etc. Direct billing with any of these health insurance companies is available.
