Chief Medical Officer of American Hospital Association Visits SAHZU

Mr. Jay Bhatt, the Chief Medical Officer and president of the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) of the American Hospital Association, visited SAHZU on Dec. 24, 2018. Mr. MA Weihang, Chair of the Zhejiang Hospital Association and Mr. ZHANG Kui, Director of International Affairs of the Chinese Hospital Association and other leadership from country and provincial government accompanied Mr. Bhatt with his tour at SAHZU.

Dr. HUANG Jian, the Vice President of SAHZU and President of Riverside Campus, and Dr. MA Yuefeng and Dr. WANG Liangjing, the Vice Presidents of Riverside Campus, welcomed Mr. Jay Bhatt on behalf of the SAHZU health system and showed him around the Riverside Campus. Mr. Bhatt spoke highly of SAHZU’s medical strengthen and hospital management after getting to know the basic information of our hospital and observing on site the operation mode of outpatient, pharmacy, comprehensive ICU and international medicine department. Mr. Bhatt also shared his knowledge about the exploration efforts on internet medicine and artificial intelligence in the US and suggested our hospital could use the information system to standardize doctors’ medical records writing. We also extended our warmest invitation to Mr. Bhatt to speak at the 2019 Cross Strait Hospital CEO Forum which will be held in September in Hangzhou this year.

Founded in 1898 and based in Chicago, the American Hospital Association is an American organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. It now has about 5000 health care organization members and 43000 individual members. Mr. Bhatt’s visit is part of Sino-US Health Care Dialogue initiated by the Chinese Hospital Association whose hope is to deepen bilateral understanding so as to promote concrete collaboration between China and US in healthcare.
