The Department has particular expertise in the management of complex surgical conditions in the chest, including lung, esophagus, mediastinum and chest wall. Surgeons in this department are leaders in the use of minimally invasive thoracic surgery and are experienced in radical surgical treatments of pulmonary and esophageal cancers using video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). We are pround of the fact that over 60% operations are performed with minimally invasive techniques, especially with VATS, in this department.
