UCLA Cardiology Fellow Finished Training at SAHZU

In March and April 2016, two UCLA Cardiology fellows, Dr Sheila Sahni and Dr Phillip Wiesner, finished their 2 week fellowship training at SAHZU. It’s SAHZU’s the first time to host Cardiology fellows. Although it’s only 2 weeks’ time, but both of them have precious chance to complete or assisst in various operations, such as CTO, IVUS, TAVI, and CRT-B implantation. Dr Sheila Sahni perfomed her first CTO and IVUS at our hospital and was very happy about her unique experience here. So is Dr Phillip Wiesner, who already decided to come back again in October to have longer time training at SAHZU after his successful first visiting.

Before returning to UCLA, both of them thanked SAHZU Cardiology for the opportunity to learn from different healthcare cultures and spoke highly of SAHZU’s fellowship training program.

This fellowship training program is jointly set up by SAHZU and UCLA and mainly accpets Cardiology and Pathology fellows for now.
