Research Summary

Clinical data show that aspirin has the effect of reducing tumor metastasis, but it is not clear whether the effect can affect the EMT program. Epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT) is closely related to post-translational modifications such as transcription factor acetylation, which is the first step in colorectal cancer and other tumor metastasis. Dr. Jin's research uses the TGF-β induced EMT model established by himself to study the molecular mechanism of aspirin acetylation key transcription factors and their inhibition on colorectal cancer cell by Transwell, cellular immunofluorescence analysis, qRTPCR, Western blot, siRNA interference, immunoprecipitation (IP). In summary, his study indicates that Aspirin can affect the occurrence of tumor cell EMT by regulating the acetylation and nucleation behavior of ZEB1, thereby inhibiting the colon cancer cell migration ability.
