Dr. Tao has completed the research on the influence of platelet quantity and function regulation on systemic inflammatory response syndrome level and systemic organ protection in cardiopulmonary bypass. It is showed that inhibiting platelet function in specific period of cardiopulmonary bypass can effectively reduce systemic inflammatory response level and protect organ function.
