Prof. Chen's lab focuses on:
(1) Development of the state-of-art single-molecule biophysical technologies to investigate dynamic function of protein machinery that are essential and critical in many physiological and pathological processes;
(2) Investigation of mechano-chemical coupling of immune receptors in antigen recognition and triggering of immune responses;
(3) Development and application of single-cell techniques for investigating systemic immunity in various diseases.
In a long run, Prof. Chen aims to integrate single-molecule and single-cell techniques and computational modeling to understand immune systems from the molecular level to systematic level and translate these technologies and basic research to benefit clinical practice.
