Education Experience

Research Summary

His group is interested in the mechanism and function of macroautophagy. They utilize comprehensive approaches to study the signaling and membrane remodeling during autophagy initiation and autophagosome biogenesis. They use animal models to study the role of autophagy in tumorigenesis and metabolic diseases. At present, they are working on the identification of new protein machinery and their post-translational modifications in mammalian autophagy. They are also studying the relationship between autophagy dysfunction and malignant transformation of hepatocytes and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma.
