Chen Jia, M.D. is a medical director in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. In this role, she improves medical quality and medical safety, and conducts performance evaluation on her team members based on several indicators around patient care. Additionally, she is the teaching director of the resident training program in the department.
After receiving her medical degree in Medical College of Zhejiang University in 2010, Dr. Chen completed her residency and fellowship training in the Department of Otolaryngology at the same hospital where she is currently working at.
In the field of healthcare, Dr. Chen’s expertise is in Chronic sinusitis, Allergic rhinitis, Intractable cough, Otitis media and hearing reconstruction techniques.
Throughout her research, she has been focusing on the targeting gene therapy and the mechanisms for cetuximab resistance in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Also, her interest’s is in biomaterials for tympanic membrane repairment
Dr. Chen is a member of Youth Committee of the 11th Committee of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of the Chinese Medical Association. She is also a member of the Sixth Committee of Chinese Audiology Development Foundation.
