Starting from December 6, 2021, the nationally renowned SAHZU Eye Center will have a new address at No. 1 Xihu Avenue.

The SAHZU Eye Center is a modern ophthalmic center integrating healthcare, education and research, in line with international standards. With a history dating back to the 1930s, the center has been spreading the Guangji spirit of universal benevolence for more than 80 years.

SAHZU Ophthalmology was ranked at the 5th place in the 2020 Best Chinese Hospital Ranking. The overall strengths of SAHZU Eye Center have remained in the forefront in ophthalmology in China for consecutive years.

10 sub-specialties, an annual outpatient volume of 800,000

Currently, the center has 10 subspecialties including cataract, vitreous and retina, glaucoma, refractive surgery, strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastic and ocular tumors, corneal and ocular surface disease, optometry, neuro-ophthalmology and uveal disease. The highest annual record amounted to 805,500 in terms of outpatient visits, and 83,000 as to surgeries.

The Largest Eye Hospital in China

The newly opened SAHZU Eye Hospital Campus is considered as the largest of its kind in China with a building area of nearly 50,000 square meters, 150 outpatient consultation rooms, 80 examination rooms, 28 operation rooms and 200 licensed beds.

The new campus not only allows further development of the center, but provides a more comfortable environment for patients and their families. Those who come to visit shall feel SAHZU warmth and empathy through the facilities and services that came into use such as spacious waiting areas, comfortable seats, catering and retail services, etc.
