The opening ceremony of SAHZU Boao Campus, also called SAHZU Cardio- and Cerebro-vascular Hospital, is launched Sunday. Higher officials from provincial government of Zhejiang, municipal government of Hangzhou, Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang Health Commission attended the ceremony.

The healthcare services provided at Boao range from pre-hospital care, emergency services, outpatient consultation to inpatient care.  The campus features one-stop multidisciplinary treatment for cardio- and cerebro-vascular diseases, integrated early rehabilitation and a health record-oriented holistic management of metabolic diseases.  This new piece of SAHZU network, looking forward to serving patients and professionals from all over the world, is aimed at providing streamlined, individualized and all-round solutions to cardio and cerebrovascular diseases, by coordinating with other SAHZU campuses and by cooperating with other local healthcare alliances and organizations.

Patient Service Loop

Besides comfortable hospital environment, a smart, efficient and caring hospital experience is what Boao hopes to bring to its patients. A closed patient service loop, which consists of efficient and whole process medical treatment inside the hospital and self-management guidance outside the hospital, is established.

State of the Art Equipment

The excellent services are fully supported by the state-of-the-art equipment at Boao. The new hospital has the biggest cluster of hybrid operating theatre in China, the first interventional surgical robot in China,  magnetic navigation catheter lab, intraoperative mobile MRI, and mobile CT. In addition, the smart operating room, providing comprehensive patient information and imaging assistance for surgery, ensures a more accurate, safe and efficient working environment.

Metabolic Disease Center

At the Boao Campus, there is a standardized metabolic disease center that integrates clinical departments related to macro- and micro-vascular diseases. With the principle of "one core, one-stop service, one standard", the center tries to create a new systematic approach to manage metabolic cardiovascular diseases.

At the end of the ceremony, Head of SAHZU Prof. WANG Jian'an expressed his high expectations for this new campus. He said that SAHZU has been striving to improve itself to cater to the needs of the public for more than 150 years. The Boao Campus hopes to build itself as "the hospital for complicated and difficult cardio- and cerebro-vascular diseases, the developer of innovative interventional technology and devices, and the incubator of high-level medical talents", and eventually "become a world-class heart and brain disease center".
