Recently, SAHZU reached an agreement with the Kazakhstan Association of Ultrasound Diagnostics Specialists in Medicine (KASUDM) and the Mongolian Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound (MSDU) to kick off "SAHZU- Kazakhstan and Mongolia Medical Personnel Exchange and Joint Training  Proram". Head of SAHZU Prof. WANG Jian'an, President of KASUDM Prof. Kultayev Askhat and Chairman of MSDU Prof. Bavuujav Erdenebile attended the ceremony on behalf of the signing institutions on Nov. 21. Prof. HUANG Pintong, Director of SAHZU Ultrasound Medicine, and Dr. GE Ziyu, Associate Director of SAHZU International Affairs Office, also attended the signing ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the Zhejiang Provincial Conference on Promoting the Construction of "Belt and Road" Cooperation in the presence of leadership of Zhejiang Provincial Government and Hangzhou Municipal Government, along with another nineteen "Belt and Road" Major Cooperation Projects in the field of economy, finance, import and export, and medicine.

SAHZU Ultrasound Medicine is a comprehensive department that focuses on clinical practice, medical education and research. The department has been ranked as national top ten in the Fudan's Best Chinese Hospital Ranking for eight consecutive years, and moved up to the fifth position in 2022. The establishment of the program aims to provide junior Kazakhstani and Mongolian ultrasonographers with access to SAHZU's evidence-based practice and latest innovations to enhance their professional skills. It is hoped that such program could deepen collaboration between China, Kazakhstan and Mongolia in the field of medicine.

The program plans to first accept four young ultrasonographers from the abovementioned countries for a three-month training to broaden and deepen their ultrasound practices through clinical practice and research.
