SAHZU and National Heart Centre Singapore Collaborate to Tackle Heart Problems

Tuesday, SAHZU and National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on clinical and translational research in cardiology, as well as to work on education of clinical and/or research staff.

SAHZU Chairman Prof. WANG Jian'an signed on the MOU on behalf of SAHZU in the ceremony held in Singapore on Feb 13. Prof. WANG expressed his expectation and genuine wish for this collaboration. "I hope our cooperation could spark great ideas, solve real clinical problems, and nurture future young scientists. Let's learn and exchange, and build it into a two-way communication that benefits us all." said Prof. WANG in his remarks on the ceremony.

On the same day, Prof. WANG also toured around the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders Program in the Duke-NUS Medical School, NHCS and National Heart Research Institute Singapore (NHRIS), and discussed about mutual interested areas such as medical education, research cooperation and device innovation. 

During his visit, Prof. WANG was warmly welcomed by NHCS CEO Prof. Yeo Khung Keong, NHRIS Director Prof. Derek Hausenloy, SingHealth CEO Prof. NG Wai Hoe, Director of Duke-NUS Medical School Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disorders Program Prof. Yibin WANG, etc.

The National Heart Centre Singapore is a world-renowned medical institution, ranking the 3rd in in the Best Specialized Hospitals APAC 2023 for Cardiology and Top 100 in the 'World's Best Specialized Hospital.
