Breakthrough: SAHZU Owned Journal Enters SCIE

The World Journal of Emergency Medicine (WJEM), based at the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University, recently entered the journal list of the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). Its articles dated back to the first edition of 2016 were included in the database.

WJEM is an English language journal that mainly focuses on new research findings, the most recent development and frontier experience of clinical and basic research about critical care in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology and etc. Its chief editor is Prof. Jian’an Wang, professor of cardiology and president of SAHZU.

Since its foundation in June 2010, it has been growing quickly with support from the hospital and the Zhejiang University.

In 2015, it entered the list of PubMed/PubMed Central. In 2016, it’s listed in ESCI and integrated into the International Impact Improvement Project of China Technology Journal, which is jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. It was awarded the prize of Excellent Journals of Science and Technology in Chinese Universities in 2018.

Listing in SCIE marked a new chapter of the development of WJEM. The Journal will keep serving the researchers and contributing to the development of emergency medicine.
