The department staff has been engaged in both basic and clinical research. They investigate into injury, tissue engineering, and the regulation of wound healing and scar information. More than 100 original articles have been published over the past three years. A big number of Prizes of Provincial Science and Technology Advancement have been awarded. 10 scholars have been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
The department chair Dr. HAN Chunmao accounted for two seats in top 20 articles listed by BioMedLib in his expertise in 2014. As the chief scientist, he also obtained funding from the National Key Research and Development Project.
