General Intensive Care Unit (GICU) at Riverside Campus was founded in May 2014. It has 3 working areas and 40 beds, including 22 single monitoring units and 2 negative pressure isolation rooms.
With a core value of "the needs of patients and customers come first", GICU has a standardized and well-educated health-care team, with the national first-class design layout and hardware facilities. It takes the responsibility of the treatment for critical ill patients, and provides a strong supporting platform for the technology innovation of the whole hospital. It is also a national pilot base for standardized training of critical medical specialists, and is responsible for the tasks of intensivist training and reformation of medical education.
