We conduct clinical and basic research on cerebrovascular diseases, epilepsy and neurogenetic disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease and muscular disease.
The projects on MRI and cerebrovascular diseases are supported by one Natural Science Foundation of China (NFSC) grant and two Provincial Key projects. We have published 5 papers of high quality in 2012.
The projects on epilepsy are supported by three NFSC grants and one Provincial Key projects. We have published 4 papers of high quality in 2012.
The projects on neurogenetic disease, including Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease are supported by two NFSC grants and three Provincial Key projects. We have published 2 papers of high quality in 2012.
The department also undertakes other projects, such as one National Basic Research Program of China (973 program) on dementia, one NFSC grant on muscular disease.
In total, 21 research projects are ongoing in the department including 1 from the National Basic Research Program of China (973 program), and 10 from NSFC grants. As a result, 40 SCI cited papers were published in recent years.
