The department of Radiologyintends to make significant improvements in current and future healthcare and the well being of patients through scientific research and related technology developments. The research effort flourishes with research projects supported by national or provincial grants: MR molecular imaging of tumor angiogenesis; Development of nanoparticle-based MR colonography; Quantitative evaluation of chronic hepatic disease; In vivo assessment of microstructure, metabolism and function of brain in neurodegenerative disease by advanced MR neuroimaging.
The established Research Center of Precision Medical Imaging intend to provide opportunities for communication and interaction with other departments of the hospital, which enhances research and precision medicalin this field greatly.
