A brand-new piece of SAHZU system, Boao Campus, launches its outpatient services on Thursday March 31.

The management of cardiovascular diseases is the core of scope of services at the new Boao Campus. Other related specialties, including cardiovascular surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, also operate at the campus alongside with cardiac rehabilitation, imaging, anesthesiology and intensive care, to provide high standard and quality medical services.

The Boao Campus is designed with outpatient and inpatient departments, emergency center, rehabilitation unit, VIP center, and a research building. There are 500 licensed beds and 15 operating units including many state-of-the-art medical equipment, such as hybrid operating rooms, magnetic navigation system and Zhejiang’s only interventional surgical robot.

SAHZU is recognized as the National Regional Center of Excellence in cardiovascular diseases by the National Health Commission of China. At SAHZU Center, a team of innovative cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cardiac radiologists, and nurses work closely together to provide leading cardiac care.

Each year, approximately 9,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed in the catheter lab, pioneering in the clinical use of cutting-edge interventional cardiac procedures, such as Transaortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), MitraClip, magnet guided radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker implantation. The Center tops the country in the treatment of complex lesions of coronary heart disease through rotational atherectomy and hybrid procedures.

The Center ranks the fourth in cardiology in the Fudan Best Chinese Hospital Ranking 2020. In addition, the Center also offers training opportunities for overseas fellows and residents.

Founded in 1869, SAHZU has transformed into a modern healthcare system located in Hangzhou of east China. It now has two major comprehensive hospital campuses of Jiefang and Binjiang, and several special hospitals. Another two hospital campuses of Xiaoshan and Keqiao are under construction.
