Hematology Experts from City of Hope National Medical Center Visited SAHZU

A hematology expert team from Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation, City of Hope National Medical Center visited SAHZU and made speeches in the Hematology Forum of SAHZU Guangji Academic Week on Oct. 13, 2016.

The expert team included Anthony S. Stein, Director of Leukemia Program, Clinical Professor; Auayporn Nademanee, Jan & Mace Siegel Professor, Associate Clinical Director; Elizabeth Budde, Assistant Professor. This time, they visited SAHZU Tele-medicine Center and had a meeting with the hematology leadership team. They hope more exchanges between SAHZU and City of Hope could be conducted through scholars visiting and doctors training and showed a great interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in both leukemia treatment and clinical research. After the meeting, they respectively gave speeches on their research focus “leukemia and hematopoietic cell transplantation”, which attracted lots of audiences.

The cooperation between SAHZU and City of Hope began in 2012 when Zhang Xiaohong, Chair of SAHZU Hematology visited City of Hope. Later on, Vice Chair Xu Yang also received training there and started new hematopoietic cell transplantation program in SAHZU after the training.
