The Department of Gynecology was established in 1996 and has a large team of surgeons with extensive experience.
Gynecologists in the Department have special expertise in general gynecology, gynecologic oncology, gynecologic laparoscopy, family planning, and reproductive endocrinology. They are nationally recognized for their performance excellence using safe techniques.
Our gynecologists are skilled in new technology, such as Microwave Endometrial Ablation (MEA), in the treatment of cervical diseases, and the treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). Gynecologic laparoscopy in our department ranks at the leading level in Zhejiang Province. Currently, over 80% traditional operation could be completed under laparoscopy. The Department also accepts doctors from other hospitals for laparoscopic skill training. The first successful ovary plus oviduct transplantation in situ in the world was performed in the Department and has been commemorated as one of the top 10 medical news in China in 2002.
