The Department of Ophthalmology has achieved great success in its scientific research effecs. In recent years, it has been awarded over 30 Prizes including the National 2nd Prize for Technical Advancement twice and various kinds of provincial and ministerial top prizes for research. We have papers published in diverse medical journals including SCI journals.
In order to keep pace with the developments in international ophthalmic circles, the department sends 6-8 people to attend international conference every year. In the past several years, it has cooperated with many first-class universities from different countries including the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Russia. Furthermore, we have mutual exchange of students and researchers for many years.
Strengthened by over 100 years’ history, our staff not only manifest the spirit of “Unity, Enthusiasm, Courage and Practice”, they also continue to pursue new objectives and goals in response to World Health Organization’s call of "Let Every Human Being Have the Right to See” and to spread the light throughout the world.
