After 6 days’ survey, SAHZU was re-accredited by Joint Commission International as an Academic Medical Center. It’s SAHZU’s second time to get the accreditation after its first certificate in 2013. Surveyors Marie Dennis, Monika Bedi, Stewart Hamilton, Terry Amerine, Yaniv Sherer made a thorough inspection in the hospital from Feb 1 to 6 and found only 13 measurement elements of all 1190 elements at SAHZU that  partly correspond to JCI standards. The leader of surveyor team, Marie Dennis, said in the Exit Findings Presentation that SAHZU has delivered the best results of JCI accreditation among all the hospitals in China Mainland they have surveryed so far.

JCI accreditation and certification is recognized internationally as a symbol of quality that reflects a hospital’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. It surveys the hospital in every 3 years. As of May 2015, there are only about 50 JCI accredited academic medical center among over 700 JCI accredited institutions outside the United States.

Dr. Jian-an Wang, the President of SAHZU, said the JCI reaccreditation is not only one critical step towards creating an internatioanlly recognized and branded SAHZU, but laid the foundation for healthcare preparation for G20 Summit. “We adhere to our core value to put patients and customers at first. We strive for perfect quality.” said Dr. Wang.
