As Chinese society is aging, the Geriatrics has been developing rapidly. In the context of this, the Department of Cadre Health of SAHZU mainly serves senior citizens with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to old age, such as the aging and regeneration of heart and brain, senile arteriosclerosis, metabolic syndromes, senile osteoarthritis, cancer etc. It seeks for a comprehensive way to evaluate and manage senior patients as a whole and regulate the medication dosage for them.
22 physicians are now working at the Department. Among the physicians, 67% have doctorate, 7 with a professor title, 2 are supervisors of master degree students. Many of them have academic affiliation with national and provincial societies/associations.
