Hematology physicians provide special consultative and medical care for patients with a diverse spectrum of benign and malignant blood-related disorders. The common clinical disorders we treated include: disorders of red cells (such as anemias and thalassemias), aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia, acute and chronic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, various types of lymphoma, multiple myeloma, polycythemia vera, essential thrombocytosis, primary myelofibrosis, disorders of coagulation and thrombosis, and a variety of other benign and malignant disorders.

We have a designated transplant unit approved for both apheresis collection and transplantation of unrelated blood or marrow, which was accredited by Ministry of Health of China in 2007. The cord blood transplant program was approved as well. Since the program began, we have performed more than 80 allogeneic transplants including unrelated transplants utilizing bone marrow, peripheral blood or cord blood, and our experienced nursing staffs have been trained extensively to care for the special needs of these patients.
