  • SAHZU did the first microscopic hypophysectomy in Zhejiang Province and was the first in the province to launch an interventional cardiology program. 

    SAHZU began to perform heart and liver transplantation. 

    SAHZU set up the first Emergency ICU in China. 

    Around the end of 1980s, the national healthcare system began to evaluate the quality of all public hospitals for the first time. SAHZU was one of the first hospitals to be accredited as a Class A tertiary hospital in this evaluation.
