  • The first pancreatoduodenectomy in China was performed by Dr. YU Wenguang at SAHZU in 1956. 

    SAHZU was also the first to perform pulmonary lobectomy under paravertebral blocking in China. 

    Surgical operations to remove the head and neck neoplasm and rehabilitation for laryngectomy patients have been going on in ENT since the 1950s.
